(
DALLAS, April 24, 2008) Animal Rescue of Texas (ART) is pleased to announce its third annual ART TO THE RESCUE SOIREE. Co-hosted by The Art Institute of Dallas, the event features music, food, cocktails, and a silent auction of contemporary art, jewelry, wine, and more. All proceeds benefit Animal Rescue of Texas, a non-profit rescue organization whose mission is to save the lives of homeless animals and to educate the
North Texas community of the humane treatment of companion animals.
ART TO THE RESCUE takes place on Saturday, May 17 from 6 pm to 10 pm at Manny Rodriguez Photography (
100 Parkhouse Street
in
Dallas). Tickets are on sale now, and can be purchased in advance (before May 3) for $50 per person, or $65 per person after May 3. Visit
www.animalrescueoftexas.org to purchase tickets and for more information. You may also contact Shelley Akins at

Partnering with the art community is part of ART’s original vision, and their ongoing support of ART TO THE RESCUE has been essential to its continued success. To this end, graphic design students at The Art Institute of Dallas designed the invitations and direct mail pieces for the event, and Art Institute of Dallas interior design students planned the layout of the soiree itself.
