A Fair to Remember, a new documentary about the Great State Fair of Texas, captures the heart of the Lone Star state – big, spirited, and brazenly proud! The film takes you on a roller-coaster ride chronicling the history of the Fair from its inception in 1886 to its destination today as the largest and longest-running Fair in the country.  Dazzling animation by Janimation (Spy Kids 2 & Spy Kids 3-D) and original music by Carl Finch and Brave Combo add pizzazz to dramatic archival footage and captivating interviews. Art Institute of Dallas instructor Steve Barnes and his Digital Media Production student Jeff Bannister did the graphic animation and special effects, and Barry Corbin (One Tree Hill, Northern Exposure, WarGames, Urban Cowboy) lends his famous Texas drawl to the narration, making the film sure to entertain viewers of all ages!

A FREE screening of the film will take place at the Hall of State on Saturday, February 17 at 2:00 p.m., and again on Sunday, February 18 at 3:00 p.m. Please visit www.mediaprojects.org or call the Dallas Historical Society at 214-421-4500 x 101 for more information.
