In honor of World AIDS Day on Friday, December 1, The Art Institute of Dallas will host Beauty and the Beast, a gallery exhibit illustrating the impact of AIDS on childhood. The exhibit, presented by the Micheal Maddison Children’s Fund, features photography by A.O. Matesun.

The images depict his recent trip to Africa and show how the disease is ravaging the country and especially the country’s children.

A reception will be held on December 1 at 6:00 pm. Mr. Matesun will speak about the plight of African children and the commitments necessary to restore childhood innocence to the continent.

The exhibit runs December 1-15, 2006.
