In The Gallery: Mary Haviland, A Vision Of Eden: Seeds, Cycles & Asymmetry

The Art Institute of Dallas proudly presents a Master of Fine Arts exhibit of paintings by faculty member Mary Haviland. The exhibit will be on display late November 2005 through early January 2006 in The Gallery at The Art Institute of Dallas located on the first floor of the Main Building at 8080 Park Lane in Dallas, Texas.

An Artist’s Reception open to the public will be held Saturday, December 3 in the gallery from 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturday 9:00 a.m. to noon. The Gallery is closed on Sundays and holidays. The Gallery is open to the public, and admission is free.

On faculty since 1994, Haviland is a candidate for a Master of Fine Arts at Texas Woman’s University located in Denton, Texas and holds a B.F.A. from the University of North Texas located in Denton, Texas and has completed Post Graduate Studies from Kansas City Art Institute located Kansas, City.

On a regular basis, the Gallery at The Art Institute of Dallas hosts an array of exhibits for the students and public to view. The Gallery also features several special exhibits each
year.

The exhibits are carefully selected and are used to demonstrate professional accomplishments, challenge students to explore new mediums, and showcase The Art Institute of Dallas’ impressive resources and talents. Many faculty members incorporate visits to the gallery into the curriculum, teaching students to appreciate and critique works of art.

Gallery hours are Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Gallery is open to the public, and admission is free.
