Hot new fashion designs and budding fashion talent will make you addicted to artistic fashion at the upcoming “Artistic Addiction” student fashion show produced by The Art Institute of Dallas.

Members of the Dallas area fashion community along with friends and family of participating student designers will come together to celebrate a new generation of designers during the quarterly spring fashion show on Thursday, June 16 at 7:00 p.m. at the Richardson Civic Center.

“Artistic Addiction” will showcase student-design garments from 14 designers in the College’s Fashion Design program. The featured students are April Perna, Tada, Emma Kate, Hillary Jacqueline Hubbard, Heather Renee, Lauren Tollefson, Brandie Nicole Lopez, Alexandra Davidoff, Julia Anna Gonzalez, Melissa Renee, Lonnie Bandele, Cynthia Favela, Erica Castillo and Monique Hebert. Students in the College’s Video Production and Culinary Arts programs will also participate backstage and volunteer to make the show a success.

The show will also feature a design competition, “Through the Loop,” a contest that features student-designed belts.

The Fashion Design School at The Art Institute of Dallas holds quarterly fashion shows each year in order to display student work. All student work from the quarter will be modeled with feature designs from students in the sixth quarter of the seven-quarter applied associates’ degree program.

The Richardson Civic Center is located at 411 W. Arapaho Road. Admission is free. For more information about the College’s Fashion Design program, visit www.aid.edu or call 214-692-8080. The school is now enrolling for its Fall quarter classes starting October 3, 2005.
