WIF.D 24 Hour Video Race Team Places Third In Hollywood Division
Congratulations to Women in Film.Dallas’ 24 hour video race team! Their Film MALEBOX placed third in the Hollywood division at the 24 Hour Video Race Finals, sponsored by the Dallas Video Association.
If was the first time in the race for all 14 team members, including faculty members, Trayc McKissick (producer and team organizer), Ron Gonzales, and Jana Perez.
MALEBOX is a classic love triangle between a guy, a girl and her mailbox. At the starting line of the race, the team received the required elements: the theme was “First Class”, the location was a mailbox, the prop was a copy of Quick Newspaper and the required dialog, “I thought that was fixed a long time ago.”
A director’s cut is in the works and will be screened at an upcoming Women In Film event. The film MALEBOX will air on PBS, June 17 and 26.
