Austin Street Center Thanks Us
The people at the Austin Street Center have thanked us for our contributions to their cause. Here’s the full letter we have received from them:
Dear Friends at the Art Institute of Dallas:
The residents and staff of Austin Street Centre wish to thank you for your recent donation of blankets, toys, canned goods, and clothing. As you know, Austin Street Centre does not solicit or receive government or United Way funding. Therefore, your gift will allow us to bring hope to the hopeless and help to the helpless. Our ability to serve the homeless depends entirely upon caring individuals and companies, such as you.
With the resources your gifts provide, we make every effort to meet the needs of each individual who comes to us. There is never a charge or fee for any service provided to any resident. Our primary mission continues to be the provision of emergency shelter to clients. Your gifts also make it possible for us to offer specialized assistance to our mentally ill residents.
Our mission to serve the homeless of our city has been a successful one due to your support, friendship, and caring. The successful twenty year history of Austin Street Centre testifies to the value of these efforts.
Thanks again. May God bless you and yours during the holiday season, and throughout the New Year
In His Service,
